Bright Spark

Lifeguard Evan Cross has his sights set on a career in sports management after signing up to study with The Sports Academy of Scotland. Evan will work towards an SVQ Level 3 in leisure management as part of a modern apprenticeship scheme, gaining on the job training as well as a nationally recognised qualification.

Evan says “I really enjoy working at MACPool and I want to get a qualification that recognises the work I am doing. The modern apprenticeship is a great way to do this.”

Manager, Stuart Owen said “I would like to wish Evan good luck with his course. I am sure he will give it his best effort. At MACPool we firmly believe in the development of our staff and are pleased to be investing in Evan’s future. ”

Evan will be assessed on his ability to use resources, ensure the health and safety of customers and staff and on his desire to improve customer service. If you see him looking thoughtful, with a pen in hand, make sure you wish him luck.
